Eastlake Gents Chair redo – Funky !

This is part III of my antique reupholstering adventure and truthfully, I’m not sure I will be doing many more in the near future.  While I was surprised that reupholstering (well at least the antique chairs), weren’t that difficult to figure out, me ole’ bones, ‘specially me hands are just plain ole’ tired!  (wow, not sure where me leprechaun accent is coming from?!?…tired I suppose !?! LOL).

NOW, I totally get why many DIY bloggers who have also reupholstered say to invest in an air-power stapler….ouchy!!

So here is the masculine version of the Ladies Eastlake Chair redo I did earlier.   This dude is bigger, beefier and has super strong arms….*sigh*

Here is how he looked when I picked him up….

Sure, handsome enough, structurally strong but in need of a big-time bath and overhaul….
He cleans up pretty well eh?  What a difference a lil’ cleaning, stripping and paint job will do!

Oh, and BTW, he’s all mine ladies <3….I knew once I covered him in furry zebra fabric I’de be a gonner….I’m a big sucka like that!

*sigh*

New buttons…

New trim…
Sits at the entrance of our playroom…love the turquoise with the Zebra…

I’m linking up to Miss Mustard Seed’s Furniture Feature Friday here.  You’ve gotta check out MMS’s  blog…so inspiring !
