Coffee filter wreath

Brown coffee filter wreath project ~ easy, super cheap and so pretty!

I am certainly not the first to make one of these wreaths, and sure as heck won’t be the last.  I just had to make my own coffee filter wreath that I’ve seen all over blog land, Pinterest, etc., because they are just so interesting and fun to look at.

Who knew coffee filters could make such a pretty home decor piece!

This was such an easy project and I really LOVE how it turned out.

So here is what you will need….

1 – straw, styrofoam wreath in your choice of sizes (I used a straw 18″ from Joann that was $2.99, but the Dollar store wreaths would work too!)

1 – package of white or brown coffee filters 200 count (I got mine at Stop & Shop for $1 and decided on the brown filters since they look more fall-ish to me)

Hot glue gun and lots of glue sticks

A ribbon and straight pin (to hang your wreath when your finished)

So basically, you just fold, twist or squish your coffee filters however you like, glue and place onto the wreath.

They don’t all have to be folded the same way, in the end that will just make it more interesting.

Repeat this process until the entire wreath is covered.

I used just about 3/4 of my 200 count filters so there is a LOT of repetitiveness, but I would stop, walk away and go back to it.

I did however have it done the following morning.

Here is how my fall-inspired coffee filter wreath came out….

Cool huh?

Looks like bunches of ruffles to me and I just adore ruffles!

What do you think?

Total cost approximately $4.50!

You should totally make one, trust me, you’ll love it!

Thanks for checking in!
