If you practice yoga you may be familiar with Mala beads. Mala beads are a string of beads used for prayer/meditation.
Mala is a Sanskrit word meaning garland and they are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra, phrase or just positive affirmations.
With all of the beads I have, I decided to make myself a Mala necklace. A Mala necklace has 108 beads. I made mine using Amethyst beads, sterling silver spacer and accent beads and a purple tassel. I kept length in mind, making it long enough so that it can also wrap it around my wrist when I’m practicing yoga.
I ended up making several more because they are so fun to make. My husband now has a necklace as does my Mom. I also gave a necklace to three of my beautiful yogi friends during our weekend away to Kripalu Center last April where we enjoyed a wonderful R&R experience and a perfect place, in my opinion, to enjoy my 49th birthday.
An awesome Henna I got on my birthday.
My dear friends, I met during our 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in April, 2016.
I cherish these beautiful ladies ♥
A Metta Meditation peace banner I made after attending Kripalu.
Love and light my friends.
